Who we are:
The Automotive Research Center (ARC) is located at Faculdade do Gama (FGA) at the University of Brasília (UnB). The laboratory’s mission is to support Research, Development and Innovation (RD&I) activities focused on engineering. It is a multidisciplinary laboratory that serves the areas of automotive engineering, electronics, mechatronics, mechanics, software, energy, and related areas. The laboratory offers infrastructure that allows the development of solutions involving: modeling, simulation, control, software, electronics and instrumentation for engineering applications. Scientific initiation activities, Undergraduate thesis, master’s degree and academic doctorate are carried out in the laboratory. Its teaching staff has a strong presence in undergraduate and postgraduate courses at the University of Brasilia. The faculty also promotes teaching and university extension activities.
Our mission:
The Automotive Research Center is pursuing an ambitious strategy by developing advanced solutions for the automotive industry. The aim is to apply applied science through leadership by conceiving and maturing the concepts of modeling, simulation, and control of automotive subsystems across all industry sectors, including Tier 1 suppliers, SMEs, and OEMs.
We are unique in our multi-disciplinary approach, bringing together expertise in vehicle dynamics, automotive electronics, software and control systems. By linking applied engineering research, we develop novel technologies and enhance the scientific foundation of automotive systems.
